about

“La tour de rêves” is my first solo album recorded and produced entirely in Barcelona, where I live. The album’s eleven instrumental compositions are a mixture of both solo and ensemble works mostly played on acoustic instruments and in some pieces, with guest musicians. It is a tribute to all of my favourite music: from folk, jazz and blues to minimal and contemporary. I have weaved these inspirations together to create a fusion that could be considered more or less as world music. The influence of colourful jazz/folk recordings released in the 70’s mixed with my passion for ambient and progressive genres combine with field recordings in both brief and lengthy compositions to create a melting pot that is also inspired by the colours, smells and sounds of my homeland Argentina, and Europe, where I have lived for eleven years.

about

Ciro Berenguer Barcelona, Spain

My work as a composer is influenced by different musical traditions and genres: from European contemporary music to jazz and folk, to south American and African rhythms. I use these elements to create my own compositions which sound in a way like chamber music. Lately I’ve been adding layers of field recordings and electronics using my laptop for composing and as a live instrument. ... more
